Liebster Award

Sorry for the delay, but we were on a trip and didn’t have WiFi… We were nominated for this award by delaneyraye01. The rules are quite simple:

  1. Mention, link and thank the blog who nominated you.
  2. Answer the nominator’s 11 questions.
  3. Nominate bloggers with little followings (under 200) and link them below.
  4. Create 11 questions of your own for your nominated blogs to answer.
  5. Notify your nominees via social media.

So here it goes. These were delaneyraye01 ‘s questions:

1. What is your favorite childhood memory?
Uh, that’s a tough one. My mother reading Narnia to me before going to sleep is definitely up there. She’s the one who introduced me to Fantasy – so, technically, my being a fangirl is her fault! 😀 (Frodo)
Mine would probably be playing Star Wars and/or Lord of the Rings with my siblings. We had tiny Light Sabers that glowed in the dark, and wooden swords and bow and arrow. That was a lot of fun. Yes, definitely one of my fondest childhood memories. (Sam)

2. What is your favorite movie and why?
Let’s go with *drumroll* Lord of the Rings! We are going to pretend like they are one movie, because please, please don’t make us choose one!
As to why… well, in our opinion, they are simply the best movies ever made. The story is amazing (although the credit for that goes to the book and not the movie, of course), every single actor did a fantastic job, the casting was perfect (we acknowledge that there are a few discrepancies between the descriptions in the book and what they ended up looking like on screen, but we simply do not care), the special effects were amazing and barely noticeable with very few exceptions where you could see that it was Green Screen, and the landscapes are just breath taking – after all, we did go to New Zealand because we wanted to see Middle Earth in real life. (Frodo & Sam)

3. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Well, we kinda answered that in the last question, but since we’ve already been to New Zealand… Everywhere? Is that an acceptable answer? Probably not… But there’s not really a right answer to this question. It would be much easier to ask where we wouldn’t want to go – that list is much shorter.
But, okay, let’s say we had to pick one, and only one, place, where we could go tomorrow and for free (because that’s the only way you’d make us choose one and not just say “everywhere”), it would probably be Canada. Forgive us, rest of this beautiful Earth! (Frodo & Sam)

4. What is one thing you want to do before you die?
Publish a novel and actually have some success with it (not J.K. Rowling success, but a little would be cool), because the last one didn’t turn out too great. (Sam)
See the whole world. (Frodo)
BUT both answers go for the both of us. We just took advantage of the fact that there’s two of us, so we could give two answers.

5. If you could change your name, what would it be and why?
That’s the great thing about writing, because you can just b anyone you want, and change your name into anything you want. But actually changing it is a whole different story… We both like our names, so none of us would think about changing it. But let’s say we wanted to publish something under a pen-name or something, mine would be Emily – I can’t really tell you why I like that name so much, I just really do (Sam).
I’d use Lucy, because I love the character Lucy in Narnia so much (Frodo).

6. What is your favorite activity?
Everything fangirling-related, because thank God that includes travelling, and writing (Frodo) – but also just writing for the fun of it, because I’m no good at fanfictions (Sam).

7. If you could have any job, what would it be and why?
My absolute dream would be to be a writer, and make enough money with it to get by, but that’s rather unlikely to ever happen. So I think I’m gonna go with Profiler, because I wanted to become one since I was 15. I’ve always been fascinated with psychology, and even more so with psychopathology and the criminal mind. I think it’s a really interesting thing to do – but, to be honest, I don’t think I could do that for the rest of my life. At some point I’d probably need to get out and see something other than the depth and darkness of the evil people can inflict upon each other. (Sam)
I would love to make money with writing and blogging, simply because it’s something I’m passionate about, and what better thing is there than making your passion your job? (Frodo)

8. If you could meet anyone, past or present, who would it be and why?
Jared Padalecki, obviously, for both of us, but we kinda already did, so we’re gonna go a bit further.
J.R.R. Tolkien – because, in case you haven’t noticed, I am – we both are – huge fans of his work. He is one of the most brilliant minds to ever have written a novel in my opinion, and I would just love to sit down with him and ask him a lot of questions that he would probably find silly but I think are absolutely vital, or simply have a conversation with him, and ask him what he thinks about the world and its history, and where it may be headed. (Frodo)
J.K. Rowling, because Frodo already said J.R.R. Tolkien, and because I love her work, and everything she has done and accomplished. I would probably ask her some questions about Harry Potter, because, honestly, who wouldn’t, but I would also want to thank her from the bottom of my heart for her work. The “Harry Potter” books mean so much to me, and are such a huge part of my childhood and the person that I am today. She taught us to be tolerant, and to be forgiving, and she told us about the importance of love and friendship, and – which was, and still is, and important lesson for me – that what happened in the past cannot be changed, and we should not let it rule us but fight our demons. (Sam)

9. What is something about you that people are often surprised to learn?
We are not sisters.

10. What is your favorite television show and with which character do you feel the strongest connection?
Supernatural. That’s an easy one. Now, making us pick only one character that we feel a strong connection with is just mean. There are so many incredibly well written and good characters on that show… Our favorite character is Sam Winchester, but we feel the strongest connection with Charlie Bradbury, because she is funny and witty and smart and pretty (that’s why she’s one of our favorite characters, but it’s not why we identify with her), and, more importantly, she is a great depiction of a fangirl. The characters and stories she loves make her a better person, and give her courage, and we would both like to think that it’s similar for us. She is not over the top or annoying like fangirls are usually portrayed on TV; she’s simply a geek and happy with who she is, but she doesn’t go all crazy-stalker-fan like what Becky was like (for those who don’t know, Becky was a really annoying fangirl who was absolutely obsessed with Sam and Dean – and not the healthy kind). (Frodo & Sam)

11. How many pillows do you like to sleep with?
One, but a big fluffy one, not those tiny hard ones that kill your neck, and not the thin ones where it makes no difference if you sleep with one or none at all. (Frodo & Sam)
