Character Crush Weekend, Day 1: Male Characters

We talked about our favorite characters before, but we thought it might be fun for us to list five fictional characters we have “crushes” on. We’re starting with guys, for… reasons… and tomorrow it’s going to be women. We’d love to hear your thoughts and your own crushes, too, of course!

1. Sam Winchester

Of course he was going to be on here, have you read the rest of this blog? It’s not just because Jared Padalecki is a beautiful and very talented human being, but also because Sam Winchester is a good guy. His character is known for his high moral values, and he will always go out of his way to help other – he won’t even hesitate to sacrifice himself for others. He’s also very broken, and especially Frodo has always had a thing for the puppy-dog look (she has one of those too, but Jared’s perfected it). And boy, does he have beautiful eyes.

2. Barry Allen

He’s just cute and dorky and adorable and awkward. And Grant Gustin is very good looking as well, of course, which doesn’t hurt. He’s a good person, too, and optimistic and funny and just ugh. He’s our little cupcake of optimistic sweetness. He’s got the puppy-dog look, too, so you could say we have a type; we fell in love with him in episode one and it just got better (or worse?) since then.

3. Captain America

Not sure if he counts as a crush or just admiration from afar – but then again, what’s the difference, really? He’s on here more because of what he stands for than because of how hot Chris Evans is. Especially cause we both thought that he was a bit too muscular in The Winter Soldier; like, his shoulders were too broad and his arms too big or something. So it’s really more about him being the personnification of (American) good, which, even though we don’t always agree with him, we find rather attractive. I guess it’s more Steve Rogers than Cap that we enjoy admiring from afar…

4. Will Gorski

Have you watched  Sense8 yet? If you haven’t, you totally should. It’s awesome! Officer Will Gorski is an amazing character. He’s badass, for one, and so incredibly cute and sweet and caring, it’s amazing. He has such a big heart and so much empathy, it warms your heart just watching the guy. Where can we get a guy like that? We want one! (Or two, technically.)

5. Stiles Stilinski

He’s on here mostly because of his dorky-ness and awkwardness, but also because he’s so much fun to watch. He’s the hyperactive one with the crazy ideas that usually saves people’s asses, and even though he’s the only one in the pack with no supernatural powers, he still doesn’t hesitate to put himself in harm’s way to help people. He has a big mouth with an even bigger heart behind it. And dear god, the sarcasm. I freaking love his sarcasm. And Dylan O’Brien is easy on the eyes, which sure doesn’t hurt.
