5 Favorite Fandom Phrases

This week’s 5 Fandom Friday is: 5 favorite fandom phrases. This one might be a bit of a challenge, but we’ll see, I guess.

1. Saving people, hunting things, the family business

This one should go without an explenation. I mean, it’s Supernatural. It’s the phrase from Supernatural, and we love Supernatural, and we love this phrase. There’s not much more to explain.

2. Shadowhunters: Looking Better in Black Than the Widows of our Enemies Since 1234

Say what you want about Jace, he’s got some of the best lines in The Mortal Instruments, this one included. It also perfectly sums up the whole world of the Shadowhunters: their black gear, their arrogance (and I mean that in the most loving way possible), and their pride of their history. And it made us chuckle.

3. Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived

This one’s a no-brainer as well. We love Harry Potter, and that’s not just the phrase from Harry Potter, it’s also almost like his title by the end of the series. After all, he was the Boy Who Lived – twice.

4. One does not simply walk into Mordor

We had to put Lord of the Rings on here somewhere, and this is such an iconic phrase from the movies that it perfectly fits. After all, did Frodo and Sam not prove that one can, in fact, simply walk into Mordor?

5. Katniss Everdeen, the Girl On Fire

It goes without saying that we love this phrase, because it’s not only about her dresses that are literally on fire, but also about the character of Katniss. Once she starts to fight for her loved-ones, she becomes fierce; when she fights, she’s on fire. And that’s awesome. It’s a really cool phrase.
