The Ultimate Harry Potter Tag

We got tagged by Metal and the Geek, who found this Harry Potter Questionnaire – awesome!

We’re already answered a couple of these questions when we did the Harry Potter Questionnaire, but we’re gonna try and change some of the answers πŸ˜€ and there’s some questions here that we haven’t answered but would love to. Sorry if it’s a bit repetitive.

1. Favorite book?

Frodo: Halfblood Prince!Β I really loved all the chapters about Voldemort’s past.

Sam: Prisoner of Azkaban, mostly because it’s a mostly normal school year, with no threat of Voldemort hanging over Harry’s head; at least, not directly. And Deathly Hallows.

2. Least favorite book?

Frodo:Β  I think the 5th. I mean: Umbridge, Umbridge and Umbridge… did I mention Umbridge?!

Sam: Fine, I’ll answer this time. Order of the Phoenix. Harry’s PTSD, Umbridge, Sirius’ death, Umbridge, Cho (who I found slightly unnerving, even though I get she was still grieving), Dumbledore’s and Harry’s realtionship (I loved it in the other books), and Umbridge make it my least favorite book. I still love it, though, of course.

3. Favorite movie?

Frodo: 7.2. ! I just saw it a few days ago and realized that I love it!

Sam: I said PoA last time, so I’m going with Philosopher’s Stone, because it’s adorable, and I get chills everytime Hogwarts comes on for the “first” time.

4. Least favorite movie?

Frodo: HBP – still hate all the teenage drama.

Sam: Haven’t changed my opinion on this one; it’s still HBP.

5. Favorite quote?

Frodo: “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers turn on the light.” This quote is just beautiful!

Happiness can be found

Sam: Since Frodo cited one of my favorite quotes, here’s another I really like. “We’re all human, aren’t we? Every human life is worth the same, and worth saving.” It’s something worth remembering in times like these, when people all over the world think they have the right to decide over someone’s life simply because they do not share the color of their skin, their religious beliefs, their country etc. The Syrian war-refugee is worth as much as the German welcoming them into their country (or trying to kick them out), the black man’s life is as precious as the white cop’s who shot him, the Moslem has as much of a right to live and believe as the Christian scared of Terrorists. I just wish more people remembered that.

6. Favorite Weasley?

Frodo: Fred and George!

Sam: Fred and George, for always having a joke to lighten up the mood, and always supporting Harry.

7. Favorite female character?

Frodo: This is much easier than to choose my favorite male character. I just love Hermione.

Sam: Hermione. Her brilliance saved Harry’s ass more than once, and there wouldn’t be half as many books without her, cause Harry would be pretty much dead without Hermione.

what an idiot

8. Favorite villain?

Frodo:Β  I don’t think I have one…

Sam: Maybe Umbridge? I mean, the fact that everyone hates her so much means she’s an incredibly well-written character, so, from a literary point of vue, I’d say she’s my favorite villain in the books simply because I do not know a single person who liked her character.

9. Favorite male character?

Frodo: Mhm… this is hard. Because I never thought about my favorite character at all…

Sam: Dumbledore. This may be an unpopular opinion in some parts of the fandom, but I loved his character. Yes, he was calculating, and yes, he made mistakes, but that’s what makes him human. He’s a brilliant, eccentric character that I have always enjoyed.

10. Favorite professor?

Frodo: Lupin! But McGonagall is awesome too πŸ™‚

Sam: Professor McGonagall, hands down. Lupin was a great teacher too, but McGonagall is just badass, brilliant, and she can change into a freaking cat, how cool is that?! And I love her relationship with the Golden Trio.

11. a), wash Snape’s hair, or b), spend a day listening to Lockhart rant about himself.

Frodo: One day? Oh no. I am not the biggset Snape fan but washing his hair doesn’t take really so long. So I need some Shampoo.

Sam: Shampoo, please, thank you. Snape’s a dick, but Lockhart was just entitled and stupid, and I hate people like him.

12. Duel a), an elated Bellatrix, or b), an angry Molly?

Frodo: Just read Sam’s answer. I think the same.

Sam: No one in their right mind should even think about crossing an angry Molly’s path. So definitely an elated Bellatrix.

Not my daughter you bitch

13. Travel to Hogwarts via a), Hogwarts Express, or b), flying car?

Frodo: Hogwarts Express all the way!

Sam: The Hogwarts Express!

14. a), kiss Voldemort, or b), give Umbridge a bubble bath?

Frodo: Ugh who would prefer to kiss Voldemort? So bubble bath it is.

Sam: I think I’d get a really cute, really aggressive kitten with long claws, fill the bath, put Umbridge and said kitten in the bath, and let the kitten have its fun with Umbridge. Or I’d try and drown Umbridge. Yes, I’ve had very vivid phantasies about the Toad… I had a teacher like her in High School.

15. Ride a), a Hippogriff, or b), a Firebolt?

Frodo: Firebolt πŸ™‚

Sam: Firebolt.

16. Is there any character you felt differently about in the movies vs. the books?

Frodo: Ginny. Book Ginny is awesome – but Movie Ginny… meh.

Sam: Ginny. I loved her in the books, but in the movies, not so much. Especially in HPB, they turned her from a funny, smart badass into this weird girl that ties Harry’s shoe. What. The. F*ck.

17. Is there a movie you preferred over a book?

Frodo: Nope.

Sam: No. Loved the movies, but the books wereΒ so much better.

18. Richard Harris or Michael Gambon as Dumbledore?

Frodo: Love them both. So I don’t want to choose.

Sam: They’re both great picks for the role. Richard Harris was more of the wise, old headmaster part of Dumbledore, while Michael Gambon portrayed the more fun parts of him. Love them both.

19.Your top thing (person or event) which wasn’t included in the movie that annoyed you the most?

Frodo: Everything about Voldemort’s past that wasn’t included in the HBP movie. I am still upset about it.

Sam: I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: In HPB, all the parts of Voldemort’s past that were so important to what came later but weren’t in the books, because some idiot had to turn the movie into a romantic teenager drama cr*p that it’s really not. I watched DH with a friend who hadn’t read the books, and he asked so many questions that were never even asked in the movies, but suddenly answered in the last two, that he was totally confused.

20. If you could remake any of the Harry Potter movies, which one would it be?

Frodo: HBP!

Sam: HPB. Definitely.

21. Which house was your first gut feeling you’d be sorted into?

Frodo: Gryffindor! For the same reason as Sam.

Sam: I wanted to be a Gryffindor, because the Golden Trio was in Gryffindor.

22. Which house where actually sorted into on Pottermore (or another online sorting quizz)?

Frodo: Ravenclaw (to my suprise!)

Raveclaw Crest Pottermore

Sam: Ravenclaw.

23. Which class would be your favorite?

Frodo: Defence Against The Dark Arts

Sam: Transfiguration or Defence Against The Dark Arts – if the teacher is competent.

24. Which spell do you think would be most useful to learn?

Frodo: Expelliarmus. Because even the Doctor and Shakespeare need that spell from time to time to save the world.

Expelliarmus Doctor Who

Sam: All of them? But having a spell that cleans up for me would be fantastic. I usually keep my apartment clean because I hate cleaning.

25. Which character do you think you’d become instant friends with at Hogwarts?

Frodo: Neville – he is awesome!

Sam: Ginny, Luna and/or Neville.

26. If you could own one of the three Hallows, which one would it be?

Frodo:Β  The cloack πŸ™‚

Sam: I already have one; I’ll reveal it on Merchandise Monday πŸ˜€

27. Is there any aspect of the books you’d want to change? This can be a character, an event, anything.

Frodo: Fred’s, Tonk’s and Lupin’s death!

Sam: Fred’s death.

28. Favorite Marauder?

Frodo: Couldn’t agree more with Sam πŸ™‚

Sam: Lupin, I think. The quiet and reasonable one, who did the same sh*t as his friends, but tried to keep them from doing worse.

29. If you could bring one character back to life, which one would it be?

Frodo: Fred!

Sam: See question 27.

30. Hallows or Horcruxes?

Frodo: Definitly Hallows! Splitting your sould apart for a Horcrux? No thanks. Not my cup of tea.

Sam: Hallows. No dark magic, no killing anyone, no spliting any part of myself.
